It’s another new week! I like new weeks, because it just means there are endless possibilities for a lot of really great things ahead in the next seven days. No need to get the Monday doldrums, my dears!
We had a pretty low-key weekend, but one that was also full of meaning and celebration. Ben had off of work on Friday, and since we needed to run my mom and sister to the airport anyway, we headed into town a little early to grab lunch and do some shopping. It wasn’t too difficult to say goodbye, since they will be right back up on the baby comes…which is hopefully SOON.
We were just around home on Saturday, and then had dinner at a friend’s house with two other couples who are expecting babies as well! Naturally, the bulk of our conversations seemed to revolve around babies and birthing and such things, hehe. What can I say…it’s just our world these days.
Our church did an early service on Sunday for Easter, and it was such a meaningful time of reflection and communion together. I remember how I used to feel an almost kind of dread when it came to communion…like it was this big, scary thing that you had to get “right” or else. But in the last few years, communion has changed for me, and now I see it for the beautiful celebration of life and Jesus that it is. Of course it has it’s element of sobriety to it…but it’s mostly about celebration!
